Guest Woody_SP5 Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Does anyone know how to enable MP3's etc to be ringtones, instead of storing them on the Phone memory... If I put a 4 MB MP3 into the phone memory I will use up necessary Space, so I rather do this via the Storage Card...Any Idea's ?

You would also save a lot a space by not using a ringtone of 4MB. Have a go at editing your ringtones as I presume you are using a full song for your ringtone rather than just the 30 seconds you actually can use.

You can adjsut the volume of the ringtones with that program as well. 100% free :). If you need help using it post back or PM me, but it's pretty simple, just experiment or google it. Download Audacity Oh, make sure you download the Lame MP3encoder too (you need to take lame.dll from that program and put it in the Audacity folder).

Guest hoochy Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 I have an MDA compact which I think is the same. To use wav files as text alerts, plug the phone into your computer, find the windows folder and drop wav files into there. They will then show up as selectable on your text mesage sounds options. Doesnt show you how to do it in the manual for some reason. Hope that is helpfull.

Guest trioptimum Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Use the RJV-tone setter... it shall solve all ur problems. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That program doesn't support Windows Mobile 5. Don't think there are any ringtone management programs that do yet. Or homescreen designers. They'll come soon enough.
