unlocking cingular 2125 without sim card

Hello everybody

After searching a couple of hours on this forum i didnt come to a final conclusion that cingular 2125 can be app & sim unlocked without sim card.

Im from romania, i want to buy a C600 but here is 100$ more expensive than USA so i have a friend going to usa to work and i thought to buy a Cingular 2125 and unlock it here so thats why i dont have a cingular simcard

My questions are

- did anyone app & sim unlock cingular 2125 without sim card?

- can unlocking be done with simcard but no network coverage?

- please point me to some indications on how to sim unlock.
