I have a friend who has one of the Orange smartphones (SPV something).

Anyone know of software for a PC (Win XP I think) that he can use to send SMS ?

So he can connect the phone to the PC via bluetooth and use the screen to type and send the messages rather than the phone keypad.

Thanks in advance of any suggestions.

There is also Jeyo Mobile Companion which I use.

It communicates over AS so I guess if you got AS working via Bluetooth, then this would work ok.

I never used that version. I found it more confusing to have SMS messages interspersed with email in my Inbox !

Also the Mobile Companion has other useful features like a summary of memory usage, call history and task manager.

You may want to use cerhost.exe as a server for PC and cerdisp.exe as a client for a Windows based Smartphone or Pocket Pc in this way you can send commands to the Smartphone from your Pc.
