whats the point of the c600 when there's a c550?

Hi there

I own a c500 and my contract is about to run out, I thought of upgrading to a c550, but then my mate pointed out that there is a c600 out now. Having looked at it, apart from the fact that it runs a new windows OS, and that the keyboard layout has been changed again, it looks and sounds identical to the c550. Why release pretty much exactly the same phone? Why not make it 3G or better still WI-FI?

Can anyone tell me if there is any major difference in these phones?

I just cant see the point in getting a new spv if theyre not gonna bother to keep them up to date with whats available on "normal" mobile phones....and yes, I understand it is more of a portable mini PC than a phone, but come on?

The main reason I like my phone C600 is that it runs my tomtom program, and also that it plays most video files. Obviously the bluetooth on it is a pile of crap and you have to use the BINARY PROGRAM....how annoying.

The C600 has a better processor and a much better screen than the C550.

I'm glad they didn't make it 3G. I've used a few different 3G phones and whilst the phones are good generally speaking the coverage in this country sucks big time. I get a better 3G signal down country lanes in Worcestershire that I do in central London.

The better processor is going to be worthwhile for sat nav, making sure you don't get that short delay and missing a turning (used to happen with my *cough* ipaq)

why has it a much better screen? I dont get i thought they both used * exactly* thesame screen.. which is QVGA

im not sure but i think its better quality

the c550 has a 65k screen where as the c600 has a 262k screen

more colours sharper viewing

obviously the newer the phone is generally the better it is

its faster

it has WM5

it is the same "feel" and look as the great C500

alot of issues were found out for C550 plus it was an orange marketting thing - they only wanted more $$$ bcos the C500 was a huge success - C550 flunked.
