Guest Erm K Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Hello, Fairly new to all of this and I need a bit of help. I have an spv m500 with co pilot 5 on a 250mb sd card. Storage is an issue and I wanted to know if you can take this off the memory card when its not beeing used and put it on when its needed. How do you do this?
Guest tripdog Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I have copilot too, it was on a 256Mb card just like yours. At first I just put the card into tho phone when I needed sat nav and then put a 1gig sd card in when I didnt, then I broke the card with copilot so Iended up putting copilot onto the 1gig card. Your best bet is to buy a decent size memory card from somewhere like Mobymemory.com eg 1Gb then copy the files from your existing card onto it. That way you have plenty of memory and a spare card with copilot
Guest Erm K Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Thanks for that, is it just a straight cut everything onto your desktop from the pda and then dump it to the new card. Is there any re-registering of programs or install?
Guest tripdog Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 As far as I know you should be able to copy the folders straight onto the card as the software is already registered if it does not work then just re register. Dont forget to copy the my ducuments file as well, this is used for most other things like photos etc
Guest Erm K Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Cheers, I have done a couple of test on the same card and it has worked fine. Thanks for the help.
