Guest mattgod69 Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Hi.... I am a happy owner of an M5000. I was wondering if anyone has managed to find a good car cradle as my old TomTom one works but when you clamp together it presses all the buttons (camera etc!)...... Thanks in advance... Matt
Guest buono Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 I am having the same problem with my car cradle and buttons getting pressed but just learn to live with it. I think I have managed to find the maximum pressure without catching those front buttons so it is now not too bad but I did have occasional filming of the cradle from the camera!
Guest Jasonkruys Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 www.clove-tech.co.uk do the Brodit Active (charging) car cradle, with a Proclip specific to your vehicle for about 50 squid......Highly recommended

I have seen that but I wondered how good they are? Buono..... I have found a stupid short term solution that works. Put the M5000 upside down in the cradle (no buttons get pressed)! You can rotate the screen within tomtom.... I am going to buy a good quality clamp though cos it is stupid and its annoying. Also the M5000 is a bit bigger than the Ipaq which it has replaced and it does not sit that well in the original tomtom cradle!

Matt <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got my holder from ebay.. much better than the ones sold in the O2 and orange stores... It swivels and locks so you can have it in either portrate or landscape mode... and it costs under a tenner delivered. One very small problem is that you have to have the holder swiveled upside down if you want to charge your pda due to the grips covering the charging point.... Search for pda holders on ebay and look out for a seller called PLOPSTORES.. Hope this helps :)

Guest tony_ix Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I think this case is quite good, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1, it will add a very little thick and weight to the Universal.
