Guest russT Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Does anyone know if I can transfer Java Apps from my old C500 to my new C600? I got the TFL Underground map from the TFL WAP site on my C500, but it's no longer there for download. This is pretty handy and I'd prefer not to pay for any new fangled international metro thing. Plus it works out journey routes and times for you! And I fear change. Be grateful for any tips - I tried copying what I thought was the relevant 'Tao' folder, but it just seems to try to download something that isn't there anymore... And excuse my naivety if this is easy! Many Thanks, RussT
Guest Wombleuk Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 it's not java, but it's free and it does what you want. http://chotto.free.fr/tatami/Metro/MetroA-en.html
Guest jack Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 You can copy the file from your C500 and then have it installed on your new phone.. if you look in you middlets directory you will find some strange file names.. and a xml file.. in the xml file you will see the names of the Java programs you have installed on your smartphone and the file name.. in this way I think you can transfer a C500 application from your C500 on your new smartphone (the java applications may crash on the C600 as it is a new device and the applications are not written for it.)
