Guest GoMatt Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Ok, I get home, and my beautiful new 2125 has arrived from Cingular business sales. I charged it until it was fully charged, then unplugged it, turned it on, and its beautiful, what a great job, love this phone. BUT I tried using activesync, but noooo, I get the 805... error, so I uninstall my Outlook 2003 and install cingulars outlook 2002 (why they put 2002 with new stuff, i have no idea) and i open outlook to REIMPORT all my stuff (pain in the a**) and it says it cant find my mail? (I dont use mail with outlook) and then it just acts as a browser to my computer? Has anyone seen outlook as a stupid browser? no options, nothing, no outlook, no contacts, so I just reinstalled 2002, or wait, "repaired" it, and I will reboot see what happens. Its just I want a active sync that will work, and I tried 3.8 with outlook 2003 and no dice. Sometimes I wish I can just use a unix based system, with a program to let my device sync with a mac or something, this MS bs is gone far enough. Sorry, I am just getting mad at my computer, but this sucks.
Guest GoMatt Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Got it working, had to go to control panel, then mail, then remove all profiles. I do have to use Outlook 2002 which kinda sticks, but, wow my phone is up and running. I love the camera, great phone so far.

Guest GoMatt Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 i dont have a "legal" copy of outlook 2003, so i cant use it. It says online that the error i was getting might be because of that, so thats what i am guessing. ARE there seperate calendar and address book programs for PC that i can sync with, thats all i use in outlook. I hate outlook.
