Anybody knows what those numbers mean? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What's in the menu? Can anyone else confirm this? I don't want to just type it in and have my phone hard reset or something :).

I don't want to just type it in and have my phone hard reset or something :). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I went in it safely... no hard reset lol. Although, I do not understand anything in it, so I did not change anything. Would be nice to know what some of it meant... I am all about service menus, I use one on my tv to tweak the pic quality with great results, would be nice to know if there is anything cool in this one

Thanks for the info mate. I'll post back if I find anything useful... anyone else familiar with this menu? Edit: Nothing seems to be changeable - looks like it's just a debug menu, to find problems in the phone maybe? Edited February 9, 2006 by trioptimum
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 There can be various uses for the codes, for example on the Motorola MPX200 these following codes can be found, *#999# Command Log * # * * 8 3 7 # Version info * # * * 3 7 2 # FQC * # * * 3 6 4 # Engineering menu * # * * 2 6 6 * 0 # Set as data COM port * # * * 2 6 6 * 1 # Set as log COM port * # * * 7 9 7 # Time to failure timer & Power down code * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 0 # Set to default Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 1 # Disable GSM Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 2 # Disable DCS Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 3 # Disable EGSM and DCS Band * # * * 2 2 6 3 * 4 # Disable PCS Band These commands will vary from device to device, but it gives you an idea what may be about.
