SPV M5000 & tomtom 5

Hi

I am trying to install Tom Tom 5 onto my Spv M5000... but with no luck.

I have tried it from the cd through Activesinc... but a little way into the installation, i get a window error message saying that it has encounted an error and must stop..

So i coppied the .cab files straight to the memory card (and later tried it from the phones memory)... but it always comes up as installation unsuccesful..

Hi, I had the same issue on a SPV M3000.

The CD version you have is designed to create the SD install version,

which fails through Activesync (Are u using TTN5 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2?).

Either you find an SD card reader for you PC and can install from CD,

or you find an SD version of Tomtom.

I used the second alternative. Once the SD is setup, just remove it

and switch it back in, and then follow the posts in this thread.

The HTC Wizard thread has also plenty useful info ;-)
