Memory Ratio and Start Menu Font

Two questions:

1.) Is there a way to adjust the memory ratio on the 2125? I install everything on my SD card. So, I'd like to give some of the storage memory to the program memory.

2.) I changed the start menu background to a dark picture. Since the text under each icon is black, I can't read any of it. Anyone figured out which registry values change the color of the text? I've tried switching from grid to list view. The text was still black, but at least it's white when you highlight an item now.
