Guest J273 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 What tweaks does everyone use with there dopod ,Ive seen loads of tweaks for the wizard are these ok to use with the dopod? Also what files out of the extended rom does everyone install...Or do you install them all without pressing the reset key at startup? Thanks
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I just install them all, since all the Dopods i've ever had (a few) have always had nice, lean installs. Wizard tweaks should generally work... anything specific in mind? P
Guest J273 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Another thing......Is it ok to install the extended rom from the dopod 818 pro to a jammin,Or do you think its worth it? I was gonna flash my jammin to the dopod rom as ive found the jammin to be pretty slow even though i found the k-jam fast which as the same processor,I though it may have something to do with Imate rom. As anyone tried both the jammin and 818pro and which do you think is the better rom to have,I dont wanna flash it yet as i have orderd an atom from expansy and am going to see which is the best device out of the 2 and send 1 or the other back as you have 21 days.
Guest J273 Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I say slow as ive found that when i go and say click messeging from the start menu and it opens up outlook mail it takes a good 7 seconds to open is this the same on the dopod? Thanks
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Messaging is always slow to start up the first time after a reset, for that reason I set SPB Pocket Plus not to close it, and it's effectively always open. P
Guest J273 Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Ahhh yea works a treat ,didnt think of that ,thanks is that the only app you have with spb exceptions list :??:
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I have Messaging, ActiveSync, Resco Explorer and Pocket IE excluded. I've turned off the homescreen plugin and i'm using the (nicer looking IMHO) Resco one, and i'm slowly getting used to the taskbar battery indicator :) P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 I like the task bar battery indicator. Easy to see at any distance. If they ever re-release cell-track, that's also one to make sure doesnt close.
