Guest kalas Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Hi all, Some time ago I discovered a problem with my WiFi router. When I tried to connect to it from Linux, the name resolving worked not. After a while I found, that when I disable IPv6 on Linux, it work fine. The router provides a DNS server for clients which seems not to work properly. When I connect my Qtek 8310 to the router, everythink works fine but in IE it takes ages before it founds the page and often it fails to resolve the name completely. 1) Is there possibility to disable the IPv6 on the Qtek? 2) and what about the Wifi signal strength? Even when the phone is 1m from the WifI router, it shows some 3/4 signal strength in the bar (100% on my Notebook). Thanks for your replies.

If you go to your routers manufacturers website you may find an upgrade for your routers firmware. happy hunting :) Phil
