Guest gechman Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I've just picked up a XDA mini S and I'm really impressed with it but I am wondering how to stream file directly from my laptop to the phone, like media files? I can connect to the internet through the wireless connection but to be honest I don't know where to start looking when it comes to streaming etc. I've searched through loads of posts that mention that it is possible but I just need an idiots guide of how to set it up. Sorry if this is a stupid request or if it has already been covered. Cheers! :)
Guest Tech Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I dont think its possible to do this unfortunatly :D I dont think you can stream from laptop/PC to the phone! :)
Guest fraser Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 It's doable, but complicated. Options are: use windows network shares use a streaming server e.g. shoutcast use a webserver e.g. apache
Guest thereaperman Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 or browse your network using rosco explorer and run the file from there. or goto www.orb.com and set it up and you can stream all your auto, video, pictures etc accross the internet via wifi/gprs etc
