Guest Nimbleslick Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 First time poster here, hope someone can help me out. I searched through the boards here for an answer, but I did not find what I was looking for. I recently purchased a Qtek 8310 to replace my Moto MPX220. So far I have been extremely happy with it, but I have a couple of questions regarding the phone. First off, I am with Cingular (USA) 1) On my MPX 220 there was a great voice dialing feature. You pressed up on the volume control and you were prompted with voice commands. Is this feature not included on Windows Mobile 5.0? If it is, how do I initiate it on the phone? On a bluetooth headset? 2) Not sure if I can get help here or not - I have set my MMS settings according to the Cingular website for the Cingular 2125 - I can send MMS messages, but I cannot receive them for some reason. Nothing sent from friends comes through, and ringtones purchased from the Cingular site don't come through either. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! B
Guest gacajun Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 (edited) I had a MPx220 and upgraded to an Imate SP5 so I feel your pain. The voice dialing in the MPx220 was a great feature. Unfortunately there is not a comparable application in WM5. However, you can record a voicetag with every Contact so you can voicedial, you are just limited on voicedialing on those Contacts that you have prerecorded a voice tag for. I have purchased and installed an application called Fonix Voicedial and it works pretty well for me. You can find more information about it at http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail....eid=279&id=1784. There are some threads here regarding the MMS problem you are having. I don't really use MMS much so I have not had to deal with your problem. There may be others here that have more knowledge about that. Edited February 8, 2006 by gacajun
