Guest Sonicr360 Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Guys Can someone help me out? I got a PPC WM5 and setting it up for Wireless connectivity. In order to secure the Wireless side, I want to use WPA-PSK - I have generated a 63 char key, and copied this key code into the wireless router which is fine. However, although I placed the key in a .txt file and copied to my PPC, I can highlight and copy the text, but I cannot PASTE into the Network Key field. Is it just me or is there a work around or a way to generate a key on a PPC that I can perhaps copy onto my router? Thanks S.
Guest fraser Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Try bringing up the onscreen keyboard, then ctrl-v. ctrl-c and ctrl-x are copy and cut as well, works in most apps where there are problems using the normal copy/paste menu.
Guest Stabilo Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 I am also looking to set up WPA-PSK. My Qtek 9090 works fine with WEP on my home network but I can't set up WPA-PSK for the works network. We have MAC filtering enabled and have added the Qtek's address but still no joy. The Qtek is running the latest WM 2003. For WPA-PSK it requests a smart card or certificate for IEEE 802.1 network control. Our network doesn't use smart cards or certificates and the tick box on the Qtek 9090 is fixed as on i.e. you choose smart card or certificate but not off (possible s/w bug?) Would really be interested to know if anyone has set up WPA-PSK with Qtek 9090 and how it is done.

Thanks
Guest Sonicr360 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Well it sounds like a bug or security issue - either way its a pain. Certainly not going to Hard Reset the device, and as others also have the problem, believe this option can be ruled out! Its just SO annoying that I can copy / paste onto an XP machine NO problems, yet with WM5, this option is not available. Oh, and BTW, tried to copy/paste 30 times continuous :-) Just in case.... !
