Removing the battery and connection today plug

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to remove the standard today plug that shows the battery and connection status(wifi) at the bottom of the today screen. Is there any registry setting to prevent this from loading or something? I use windows mobile 5.

Just remove the 'Init_tray.lnk' file from \Windows\Startup
