Guest matt14 Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Strange question, I know, but are the 4 corner screwheads under the covers on the back of an spv c500 defintely always torx T6 ?? I've got hold of a new front fascia which I wish to fit to my phone (following some instructions on this forum) and I have a Torx T6 screwdriver, but the screwdriver does not seem to bite the screw heads at all. The screwheads are fine and the screws have never been removed before so they haven't been damaged in any way. Anyone have any idaes? Am I using the scredriver incorrectly !?! Is it possible the screwheads are something else? They just look like 'dimples' with no angles/corners to the naked eye. Thanks
Guest fluffcat1 Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Depends on the quality of the screwdriver you are using. If it fits inside the head but just spins it's worn, if it won't fit inside try a t5. Cheap ones on ebay are a false economy if you use them for more than 1 - 2 phone covers. Richard
Guest matt14 Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Thanks for the advice Richard. I think I'll take a closer look at the screwdrivers since I think you could be right. Matt
