Problems with Dopod 818 connecting to Tablet PC

I have purchased a Dopod818 Pro PDA/Phoneand have ActivSync4.1.0 installed on my IBM Thinkpad Tablet X41 PC. Previously I had an old IPAQ which ActivSync recognises. I have replaced this with the Dopod818 but ctivSync does not recognise the device. I have unistalled ActivSync several times and been through the troubleshooting pages on the ActivSync site but nothing seems to fix the problem.

Any ideas what I should do now?

What happens when you connect the new device? Does Activesync try and connect but fail or does nothing happen at all?

Nothing happens at all.

Fortunately I have now managed to solve the problem. For those who are interested, I had to enable the TCP/IP for Windows Mobile Device Network setting and then disable the firewall for Windows Mobile Device.

And it works.
