Guest AaronW Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Hi, Is it possible to have the LED(s) flash faster if you have a text or missed call? Thanks.
Guest andrew502 Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 There's a program in the downloads section, can't find a link though as the form won't search for LED. I think it only flashes for SMS messages.
Guest bjde0b Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 I have installed this feature on my phone and it had no affect so if anybody knows what I need to do please post.
Guest abhayseth Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 there you go - try this...! I have installed this feature on my phone and it had no affect so if anybody knows what I need to do please post. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>LED.cab
Guest scsi Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 abhayseth, could you give us some details about this?
Guest bjde0b Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 there you go - try this...! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did try. Still didn't seem to do anything for me.
Guest nevawlkalone Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I did try. Still didn't seem to do anything for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Join the club...did nothing for me either...other than slow up my 550 n force a hard rest eventually....ah well
Guest Advent Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Flashing LED fix version 1.0 Flashes LED every 1 second when you receive a call, SMS, EMAIL, VMAIL, Reminder, and when the alarm goes off. To stop it flashing press any key.

Guest Eminos Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Did you mean to include a file or a link of this new version? Or was the one posted previously the new version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, the posted one above is the one he is talking about. And I think it might actually work, but the problem is that the led blinks with 1 second interval when you have a new SMS and so on, BUT it blinks with about 1½ second interval with no new events. So it's imposible to see the difference. Could you make it flash faster? Like 4 fps or so. /Eminos
Guest nastassja Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 maybe instead of av0pf1w999999f0 you can try different values.. but if the string can't take decimals then i assume 1 second is the minimum time between flash and flash :/

If we are able to change it to 5 seconds interval, that would be good also. Just to be able to clearly see the difference from the "regular LED flash" .. /Eminos
Guest nastassja Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 then you could try using av0pf5w999999f0 i guess you can also chose color, it would be nice to use a special color :)
Guest Eminos Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 I tried a little bit, couldn't get it to work. If someone knows what the registry entries, all the different characters and numbers, actually mean, please share that info ... /E
Guest nastassja Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) affected registry keys are as follows (pretty obvious, i know): (all of them are string values) HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Keypress Script = "f0" HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Ringtone0 Script = "av0f1pr" HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Clock Script = "av0pf1w999999f0" HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\SMS Scripte = "av0pf1w999999f0" HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\E-mail Script = "av0pf1w999999f0" HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Reminder Script = "av0pf1w999999f0" HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\VoiceMail Script = "av0pf1w999999f0" I guess we just need to know how to play with that values.. by reading the repeating alarm tweak i think we can conclude the letters are to define the action and the numbers act as timers. Anyone can help with this? Edited February 22, 2006 by nastassja
Guest Eminos Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Hmm, I've been playing around a little bit with it, and this is what I have come up with. I have no idea what the characters "a" and "p" do. "f1" seems to enable the green led with 1 second blink interval. "f2" does NOT give 2 seconds interval. Doesn't give anything at all. "f0" disables that one seconds blink and reverts back to normal "2 second blink" "w" is a pause (wait) with the number value afterwards that gives pause length in seconds (I guess). "v" is for vibration (with length value afterwards), so I don't know why this dude has put this value in at all. "r" is repeat (after what I've read on the forums) Now, the interesting question is if we are able to change the blink interval, and/or the led (color). I've tried some different "random" values/characters, but with no success. If any of you want to try it out, a good way is to play araound with the "KeyPress" Registry Key. This way you can try the new value right away, just by pressing any key. A good start value of the Script value is to use "f1w5f0". = Fast blink turned on, for 5 seconds (actually 3 blinks), then turned off (returns to normal blink interval). /Eminos
Guest nastassja Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 interesting findings! i will take a look to see if i can discover something more.
Guest Eminos Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I just found this thread where they talk about these same letters. Very interesting. http://www.airfagev.com/forum_view.asp?nav...sp%3Fcode%3Dall /Eminos
