Guest Skunkchild Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Can anyone tell me how to change the dial, volume, alert screen backgrounds for a C600 ? What size should the images be ? Also, are there any around that would suit the Vista homescreens from the download section ? I guess it's posted somewhere on this forum but I've not found anything for WM5 Thanks for any help
Guest w411y Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Here you go... You need to get a Registry Tweaker and change the BKBitmapFile of the following... HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen, CarrierBitmap HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen, CarrierShutdownBitmap HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen, MSBitmap HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen, MSShutdownBitmap HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:ErrorBox HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:ExclamationBox HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:InformationBox HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:QuestionBox HKLM,Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:VolDlg Change the BKBitmapFile to the path of your file (eg \application data\vista screen.gif oh they must be gifs too
Guest w411y Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Your Welcome :) Im not sure if the Visat Screen.gif will fit perfect on a C600, I'm going by the resolution of the C550 but as the C600 is running WM5 you got them gradients on the soft keys and icon bar. It shouldn't really make a difference :D
Guest Skunkchild Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 I've made a good start on a new homescreen using the animation plugin from madbeetle How can I take screenshots of the C600 ? I used to use Activesync Remote Display then Print Screen and edit on the pc for my C500 but it won't connect with the C600
Guest w411y Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 There are apps you can use to take screenshots from the phone itself. If I can remember correct theres one called Pocket Snap It and one called SS
Guest Skunkchild Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 (edited) Thanks. Smart SS did the trick well :) link ... Edited February 12, 2006 by Skunkchild

Guest deppjones Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Hi, I changed some extra-screens just to find out, that the screen that appears, when you call a number, seems not to be skinable via registry. I just switched the file (it's called cprogbak.png) in my windows-folder but that's not an option when I want to share my screens. Does anyone know how to change this screen without replacing the file? Bye, DJ btw. maybe it's an WM5-issue - on my qtek 8310 the startup and shutdown splashscreens are located in HKLM\System\Startup and ..\Shutdown.
Guest deppjones Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I believe its the bgimage in :MSCDial <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I thought first, but bgimage in MSCDial just changes the image of incoming calls, not of outgoing ones. WM5 seems to make a difference here. ;) I'll continue to search for a solution, hints still welcome. ;) Bye, DJ
