spv c550 help using destinator sp

I have loaded destinator sp onto my spv c550 but I am having real problems getting voice guidance, I telephoned support today (in Europe) at god knows what expense and all thay could tell me was, " it is a hardware related issue with the phone, you will need to do a software reset "

" OK, How do I do that " I ask

" I can't tell you, telephone your phone provider and ask them "

So I did as suggested and the only help I got was a software reset by removing the battery whilst switched on, I tried this and no joy.

Foa anyone familiar with the destinator software, in look and feel there are 4 settings:

Skin Default is set in box

Voice This field is blank and I cannot set a voice

Language EnglishUK is set in box

Infobar Is set to On.

If anyone has any ideas what the problem is I would appreciate some advice as it is looking as though my purchase is pretty useless unless I am going to be staring at the screen whilst driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obvious I know, but have you tried uninstalling destinator from the phone (fully, maybe followed by a rest to original settings) and then reinstalling?

I'm one of the worst for stuff like this, but it all installed first time for me

Thanks, I finally managed to get the software working following the method you described, not an easy task I found to remove it, but I did it in the end.

The system seems to be functioning correctly since I did this.
