Unable to load software on PPC

Hi

I have the M500 and I am having trouble with loading software (i.e freeware on it) most things I try say '' **** is not a valid pocket PC application''

I think about 2 things have worked, the cab file to get the O2 settings on there (which did display the same message but put them on anyway [shruggs]) and a freeware rubix cube game. I have tried the freeware from the thread on here and I also borrowed my boss's CD of software he put on his (not an M500) which worked fine but is not working on mine.....

My guess is that you have copied an exe to the PPC or its storage card and are trying to run it from there. Try running the file on the PC while connected with ActiveSync as it sounds like the exe is a Windows installer (msi) file.

That was one of the things I was doing on some of the files DOH, was having a bad day, as I knew I had to run alot of the files from the PC as I had done so the week before lol, was having a blonde moment!

The other thing was some of the files were broken files so to speak so were basically nackered and useless lol

Yeh LOL thats true as well, I could have been a little inebriated at the time :)
