Guest frem Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Hello everyone I don't know how I did this but it happened recently. All my phone numbers shortcuts in the menus became letters. And I can't use the numbers anymore. This also seems to screw up the menu fast access like when I select wifi setting with the left button I don't go directly to the menu I have to go manually. I'm attaching a screenshot. Please someone help me to fix this to put the numbers back. Thank you. frem
Guest peekie Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Have you been playing with the registry ?if yes then try and remember what you changed and change it back , or have you installed homescreens ?, if not the easy way is to hard reset the phone , but make sure you have backed up your data first as this will empty the phone like the day you first had it :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I'd love to know how you managed it, it adds a nice touch to the phone :)

Guest Thyraz Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 u r not allone. Paired some BT-Devices? send/receive with Sony Ericson Mobiles, using BT-Keyboards etc. can be the reason for this as far as I've seen. I'm sry to say that there's no solution @ the moment. Only a hardreset will fix this.
Guest frem Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Umm nope i haven't attached any BT devices. But i did mess with it the other day. I'm gonna look in this direction thanks.
Guest frem Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 (edited) HO MY GOD IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!! I messed around with Bluetooth I sent a file to some unknown device and tried to deactivate and reactivate and it fixed the issue!!!!! Thank-you man, for pointing me in that direction. This was so frustratinggggg. We can now close this topic. Edited February 15, 2006 by frem
Guest deppjones Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Seems to be some mess in the way, bluetooth-profiles are implemeted. Pairing sometimes changes those registry-values, that stand for a connected keyboard. This may be a solution: Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell Change the Value 'HasKeyboard' from 1 to 0 This normally fixes this Problem. (You may have to restart the phone!) Bye, DJ
