Hi guys, been trying to buy one of these beasts for the last couple of weeks.

Was going to get one from O2 direct for £150 on a £30 a month contract, but my address is not accepted by their web-site and therefore it wont le tme buy one

I have asked it to be added to the web-site and the nice guy at tech support said it will be on in the next two weeks, im not holding out much hope.

Where else can I get one of these devices from, It HAS to be a 12month contract and a maximum of £30 a month on the contract.

Any ideas?

Why not buy offline? I got a brand new m5000 on ebay for £210 the other day :D

You've just got to watch for the bargains :)

Depending on the savvyness of the c.s operator in retentions you speak to, if you don't require a handset they usually lop upto £200 or so off your yearly line rental charge - a 'sim only' package if you like with no handset subsidy, so £200 off your bill as no handset taken, plus you're not shelling out £150 to the providor for the handset = £350 saving. Then get the model you want at a good price sim free and you're laughing...

...just don't expect any support trying to get it to work!

Voda used to be very good at doing this, as were one2one to an extent, back when they were called that and their handset range was narrow.

edit - my mate got offered a deal for his phone with t-mob - he could have a v3 for free on his existing line rental package, or they offered to reduce his rental by £15 p/m from £22.50 to £7.50 if he didn't take the v3. PAYG v3's can be had for as little as £100 new so guess what he went for...

the ones I have seen on ebay generally go for about £350 ish, I dont think I could spend that much on Ebay without killing myself with worry that its either gonna come broken/damaged or IMEI blocked.

Cheers for your comments tho---it has inspired me to at least have a look on ebay :-)

Lucky boy!

I've been searching for a deal on these little guys on ebay but they never seem to go that cheap!

Watch out MECX, I might be competing against you on a couple of auctions! :)
