Guest adobedream Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 With my SMT5600, I've recorded my babygirl crying, but when I go to use it as a ringtone or alarm it's not available. This is after I've moved it to the appropriate directory.
Guest martin Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 The voice recorder saves to WAV file with audio format GSM 6.10, 8bit, 8000Hz, Mono and this may not be supported by other applications. It would be better to convert it to PCM WAV and I find the easiest way to do this is to use dBpowerAMP Music Converter R11.5. 1 Copy WAV file to PC 2 Load dBpowerAMP 3 Open WAV file in dBpowerAMP 4 Select options Wave, 8bit, 8000Hz, Mono (these ouput settings are the same as original file) 5 Convert You could also output to MP3, MP4, etc. Hope that helps :)
