Guest poltn6 Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Hello all. I've bought a bluetooth GPS receiver from ebay, and guess what?? I cant get it to work! It is a Qstarz bt-q800 and can be seen here: http://www.qstarz.com/html/products_bt-q800.htm I have been on the modaco forum searching for GPS help and have found a few bits and pieces. I have bonded with the device set up com 7 as outbound etc, it connects but does not find satelites. A small exe called BTGPS shows all co-ords as 00000, the orange light on the receiver stays on (should flash when satelites are locked)... Pocket streets reports that it is connecting and detects 0 satelites. SmartGPS does the same thing. Any help and advice much appreciated. Pol Could this be a problem with the phones (SPV E200 and SPV c600) or more likely the 2 exact same receivers?
Guest DukeFleed Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Two things come to mind 1) Are you outside while trying to do this? (it's hard for those GPS recivers to get a signal inside the house 2) You might have a defective unit
