Guest adamjkimber Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 I've been asked by a friend to have a look at his new v1240 as it's not connecting to activesync. I've had a quick look and can't figure it out either. I've plugged my C500 into his cable and it syncs straight away. When I plug his phone into the cable, a 10Mbps Network Connection appears, which gets a 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP (is this looking for a DHCP server?), and then ActiveSync goes to the rotating green "connecting" where it sits and never changes. Any ideas on what I can do to get it so sync? Many Thanks All, Adam

Here are some thoughts from a newbie Did you install Activesync before plugging in? My v1240 took AGES before the sync sorted itsself out. I just kept it plugged in and eventually it synced. I dont know if there are lots of items you are syncing and that is causing the problem. Suggest that you try syncing only one small bit of outlook - eg. calendar with no history, or tasks or something. I had over 1000 contacts and perhaps that is why it took so long. V
