Guest sound1992 Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 I've got a problem bonding my AVL BT-15 GPS receiver to Cingular 2125. It bonds successfully, but every time my GPS is turned off and then back on the bond goes away and I have to repeat the entire bonding process: - Delete the existing 'BT GPS' device - Settings, Connection, Bluetooth, New Devices, Add Device - Use passkey 0000 - Enable the checkmark for Serial Connection - Create a new Outgoing Com Port (Com7) - Configure application (Mapopolis) GPS for Com7 4800 bps I'm confident the problem isn't because of Mapopolis. When I had an Audiovox SMT5600 running AT&T ROM, it always bonded and the bond would remain permanent even after power cycling. When I upgraded the ROM to the Cingular SMT5600 ROM, I started having the bonding problems. I tried the Windows Mobile 5 ROM just for the heck of it, and the bonding issue was there. The only way to make the bond permanent was to go back to the AT&T ROM. Now that I've upgraded to the new phone (Cingular 2125) running Windows Mobile 5, the bonding issue comes up again. I can get around it by deleting the existing 'BT GPS' device and rebonding as described above but it is a great pain. Obviously I don't have the luxury of going back to my AT&T ROM anymore. I've got to imagine somebody has the same problem above...please help, I've been searching for days with no luck in resolving this issue. What am I doing wrong?
