SP5m/T-MobileUSA/Unread Voicemail Count?

I've added a tag to my homescreen to show unread voicemail:

vMail:

Regardless of how many voicemail messages I have, the counter always displays just '1' -- is this a limitation of T-Mobile USA voicemail service, or is there something I'm missing? When there are none, it does display '0', just never shows more than '1'
