I use AOL as to send/recieve my E-mail, what do i choose when im setting up my outlook profile to allow me to use it for E-mail? Like Pop-3 or what? How do i make it so that I can check my E-mail from my phone. These are all like begginer questions, but iv been using smartphones for about 2 years and I still dont understand how to do this E-mail thing. I would really really appreciate any help.

EDIT: Sorry about the double post, and i guess i should mention that I have an Audiovox 5600 w/ cingular

It can't be done with Pocket Outlook.

You need to go to AOL keyword 'Mobile' and register on there. Then they send you a link so that you can use their mobile wap site to read your emails, use AIM etc.

Yes, you would need their POP3 settings in order for you to access your mail through your phone's email client. most poplular web mail will not give out their settings for "security" reasons, but there are a lot of web mail providers that will. Gmail and hotpop are free and accessible through your phone. :)

AOL doesn't allow POP3 access that I know of.

Anyway, as far as I know they DO allow IMAP access. Something that both the phone and Outlook should be able to handle.

A quick google turned up this document: http://members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/imap/

don't know how accurate it is.
