Colour Scheme Problems

I'm trying to make a new homescreen using a dubious blend of madbeetle's homescreen designer tool and ruttensoft's homescreen tool.

I'm using MB's app to get the layout of the screen, then using RS's app to sort out the colour scheme because the MB app seems to be aimed at WM5? I cut and paste the scheme code from RS into the homescreen.

All works well enough, but I'm running into one problem. My gradient for the main menu's works well enough - but all *successive* menus after that have a white background with white text and as you can imagine it was pretty difficult switching back to the default homescreen.

I've checked the code and no backgrounds have the hex for white (#FFFFFF), what am I missing here?
