Storing wep key

How can I get the phone to store the wep key for my home wifi network?

I have a Vodafone v1240 (Qtek 8310). For some reason it does not store my wep key, and I have to enter it each time I want to connect to my home network. Surely there is some way to have it remember the key so that it can log in when I enable wifi.

any suggestions?
