Guest jenny Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I want a smartphone. I´m gonna use it as a phone, calender and use internet. So it can´t have a poor speaker that will make me miss calls or even worse, not be able to hear what the other person says. I want it to have WLAN. It can´t be to heavy either. No more than 170 g. I can´t say I like the ones with keyboards so preferably one without. Oh, and it has to have a touch screen. More like a pda than a mobilephone. I won´t fill it with strange programs. Ofcourse I will have a few programs on it but it will not be filled with these. Do you have any idea what would fit me? Jenny
Guest JamieDow Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 You'd be looking for a Windows Mobile / Pocket PC rather than a smartphone in which case. The MDA Vario seems to be a vary popular choice incorporating most of the above. :)

Jenny <{POST_SNAPBACK}> your need for a touchscreen puts you into PPCPE devices. I would recommend the Magician to anyone!! It's not to big to be a 'normal' phone and it does all the necessaries... no WLAN tho.. for that you would need the Prophet to get all the bits and pieces you need. If you relented on the touch screen, then only phone with WLAN is the Tornado devices - SP5, SP5m or Qtek 8310 or 8300. HTH
Guest jenny Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I didn´t know that smartphone and windows mobile was different things. I thought smartphone was a name for all of them. In that case it is a windows mobile phone I want. With touchscreen. Absolutely not one like a normal mobile phone. More pda looking. It has to have WLAN. Otherwise I can just keep on using the pda and phone I have now. I don´t really like the vario and the magician doesn´t have wlan. The prophet is something I´ve been thinking of but it seems like the speaker is very bad. They miss calls very often.
