Guest Teo2005 Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Hi everyone I am e fresh owner of an Orange C600, and I want to make a back-up to the original (Orange) software in order to try the I-mate SP5 ROM... so: 1. 512Mb 0-filled and formated in phone 2. De-certified the phone (with SPV-Services, checked with another SIM) 3. Unlocked 4. Tried to make the back-up with TeraTerm, so I started the phone in bootloader mode, disabled USB connection in ActiveSync, plugged the USB cable (USB appeard in the bottom left of the phone) and started TeraTerm 5. Upon sending the r2sd all command, that's what I read on the screen: ***** user area size = 0x1D30000 Bytes R2SDBackup() - Download type = 6 usTotalBlock = 1 sizeof(SDCARD_SIGNATRUE_TABLE)=512 You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image so.. I searched for a solution and I found that I have to modify CID: 1. Active Sync (4.0) running 2. SPV-Services started (RAPI ok) 3. press CID-Tool and the program reads and display the CID 4. but when I press the 11111111-button to modufy the CID, I receive the following msg.: 'Illegal writeZone patch attempt - invalid data' Did I do smth wrong? Or is another way to back-up the ROM? Thanks in advance.
