Qtek 8310 (I-Mate SP5) Wifi Problem

Hi, I have a Qtek 8310 (I-Mate SP5) and I am having a problem with the Wifi connection. After doing a few searches on Modaco, I decided I'm going to have to make a thread since there is no solution to my problem.

My school has a wireless network which is unencrypted (meaning, I don't have to enter any kind of WEP or WPA key to use it). With my laptop, I can connect just fine. Once I have connected to the network with my laptop, I am forced to sign in (no matter what web page I go to, a log in page comes up asking for my school user ID and password). Once I have signed in, I can browse to any site I want.

The problem is, my Qtek 8310 wont connect to the network at all. It doesn't even get an IP address from the school network. When I go into the Connection Status section, it just tells me its searching for network. I know the signal strength of the network is not an issue. I can connect to any other network just fine, its just my school network that is having this problem.

Does anyone know why this is happening and/or how to fix it? Your help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

-Michael
