SMT 5600 lost MP3 and MIDI playback functionality

I loaded a bunch of MP3's on to my Audiovox SMT-5600 to be played on vacation and less than 24 hours before my flight takes off, it suddenly stops playing any sound.

Windows Media Player (WMP) shows the MP3 playing but no sound is coming out. Ditto for MIDI's or any other ring tone. Here's the weird part, they all work when associated as a ring tone. So when a friend calls and I have the KU fight song as an mp3 associated with that caller, it plays clear as day. The speakerphone works fine and the alarms as well but I can't get any other sound to play directly.

I don't get any error messages or indication that something is screwed up. There is a small delay any time I try to play an MP3 via WMP but that could have always been there. The closest thing I can come up with regarding a cause is that I had the phone sitting in the bathroom while I was taking a shower and maybe the humidity got to it. I've done this before without a problem and I have a case on my phone which should prevent moisture build up. I don't remember the screen being foggy or any other condition that would lead to this problem. I've restarted the thing probably 10 times since this happened, taken the battery out and let it sit....nothing. Any thoughts?

i know, the same thing happened to me, i also noticed that my volume bar that normally comes up on the side, no longer shows up. I dont know what do to, im thinking maybe because i messed with the reg for the full screen thingy. But that shouldnt mess with the sound. If you find a solution, holla back.

I freaking removed all the themes and the media started playing again.

I guess the theme i had before was not sopporting WM10, i have no clue, but it works tho.
