Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 How to set new bootscreens NOTE this guide was created for 2002 OS for 2003 replace IPSM with Storage Using a registry editor create some a new key and its values in the registry. You can change the path for the files but put them in IPSM. 1- HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen create the Splash Screen key: put the cursor on any key in the directory "microsoft" then clic on "menu" -> "new key" : call it Splash Screen. Then enter this key: clic on it. Now go to the "values mode" to create new values: clic on 'values'.Then you can follow: 2- CarrierBitmap : IPSMBootimage1.gif (Image GIF 176x220 256 colors - String Type) Clic on "menu"->"new value"->"string" : the value name is 'CarrierBitmap' and the 'value data' is your file path 'IPSMetc...' 3- CarrierShutdownBitmap 4- MSBitmap 5- MSShutdownBitmap 6- CarrierShutdownTimeout : 2000 (DWord Type) Clic on "menu"->"new value"->"Dword" and fill... 7- MSShutdownTimeout : 15000 (DWord Type) Clic on "menu"->"new value"->"Dword" and fill...
