:??: Can anyone tell me wot i'm doing wrong :??:

I've just got CloneDVD mobile and i select windows smartphone for the convertion.It works for an hour or so then spits an avi file.I drag it onto my storage card and media player finds it but when i click on it it won't play! I've tried to get the divx codec and it's impossible to find.

Have you tried another player for your AVI playback? Check out TCPMP:

can you check what video and audio encoders were used to rip the dvd? avi is just a file container. it can have mp4 video encoding and mp3 audio or xvid video and so on so forth.

one likely cause is that wmp doesn't have the codec to play the video and/or audio.

if you don't want to fuss around with the file formats and codecs, I would suggest for you to get TCPMP(The Core Pocket Media Player). It''s free and a lot better in so many aspects than WMP.
