Help installing PHP5

[Guest Monolithix [MVP]]

Anyone got this to work? I can get PHP4 working as CGI executable (and always have been able too) however i'm trying to get php5 going as a server module in Apache2 and it just isnt processing the php script when i load a test pho with php content. I've tried everything on the php and apache websites i can find, fiddled the PATH nad PHPRC environment variables, installed php5 to the apache directory, updated my httpd.conf and php.ini but it just isnt processing the scripts!
