i-mate SP5m drops calls when answering

My i-mate periodically drops a call when I try to answer it. I press 'answer' and it hangs for about 5 seconds, then reports a missed call. If they try to call back, it will almost always work the second time.

Anyone else having this problem? I've tried using the latest i-mate SP5m firmware, as well as the newer T-Mobile SDA firmware.

I face the same problem - especially if there are other applications running in the background the phone doesnt allow to take the 2nd call or switch - sometimes while conferencing a call it gives the same problem - the only solution is to ensure using the task manager and kill all the applications running in the background.

my qtek 8310 does the same thing...it doesnt pick up when i push answer, and just says i have a missed call

I ended up trading mine in for a T-Mobile SDA (USA). Works like a charm.

It might just be a coincidence, but if I had the most simple homescreen on, I didn't have the problem.

I was reading this thread and thinking "lucky me, I don't have this problem". 10 minutes later, the phone rings and I guess what .. :)

Hope they'll fix this. Very anoying.

I get this with the C600 as well! Maybe a windows mobile 5.0 prob?

hey all im new here btw, and wow this is funny how every1 having teh same prob, i just got my SDA like 3/4 days ago and when i was talking to my friend the call just drops with no reason at all, i hada lil argue with my partner that my new phone isnt a messed up device! hope it just a glicth or something hope theres a way to fix this, but it doesnt happend alot it only happend to me like 5 times...
