Guest 28z3 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 (edited) Hi guys, Tried to send a coupel of files to my JAMin last night from my V3, could see it ok but wouldn't let me send the file... I set up a pairing and noticed that Push isn't inlcuded in the services - the only service available was LAN Dial up... Secondly - whats AKU2, how do I know if I've got it and whats so great about it?? Thanks!!! Phil Edited March 1, 2006 by 28z3
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 I'm guessing you were trying to send the "files" (what were they?) using Bluetooth. Not something I've tried yet, buy I know Infrared works - does the V3 have an IrDA port? AKU2 is a component of the push email facility. You dont have it (it's not been released yet). What it will do (in conjunction with a suitably configured MS Exchange server) is sync emails with your device over GPRS/WiFi etc.
Guest 28z3 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 The file was an mp3 sound clip - R2D2 message alert :) - and no the V3 doesnt have IR... Can't believe a PPC like this doesnt support object push! I can send files from my V3 to my K750i no problem!
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Ah. Ok. Have you tried using Resco Explorer? That can send using OBEX, which is (I think) what you need. Http://www.resco.net
Guest 28z3 Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Not sure abotu sendign files from the JAMin, I want to send a file to it!
Guest 28z3 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Tried last night to send a file from my iBook to my JAMin using bluetooth but apparently my device (the JAMin) doesnt support that service!!!! THis cant be right can it???
Guest 28z3 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Think I've found it - hadnt set beam to reciev incoming files... If I leave this on will IR be on permanently?
