Guest Socrates Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 My SMT 5600 has been stuck on the Speakerphone profile for like a month now. I don't mean the speakerphone is stuck on, I mean the profile is Speakerphone, and I can't change it. I can't switch to say meeting, or silent, or outdoor, or whatever. Connecting headphones or a headset doesn't change the profile. I was just shrugging this off as an annoyance but then went to the movies and realized I had to turn the whole phone off rather than being able to stick it in meeting mode. Anyway to fix this short of a hard reset? I have too many settings to fiddle with, and hard resets make me want to throw the phone into the street. :)
Guest undertaker Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 my problem is just opposite to urs, mine always stays in headphone status, even hardreset it remains the same! ur situation is different, but hardset is the only way to try!

Try cleaning it out. I think there is a thread around here about this.
Guest Psychopathic6986 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 I have a fix that I found and used and it worked just fine. Please use at your own risk: Use a registry editor and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Profiles and there is a Registry Value of ActiveProfile. Change that value from Speakerphone or Headset to Normal, exit out and then switch the device off and on again.
