Is the joystick on my Qtek 8310 (Imate SP5) loose?

I'm not suggesting that my joystick is loose in the sense that one slight touch will cause the cursor to move. The thing is that I can wiggle the joystick with a gentle touch. It won't cause any movements cuz I'm barely moving it, but it wiggles. When I hold the phone upside down, the joystick can wiggle more, but I think it's because the joystick is no longer center down so less pressure applies. Is this the same for you guys as well or it's just me?

i have the same prob with my 8310. the quality of the phone is realllly low in my opinon. i just went and held the tmobile sda, and its such better quality when you hold it (including the joystick!)

But the question is, is it really a problem?

It doesn't bother me at all.

I had this with a new vodafone v1240 ( sp5 clone) and compared to my sp5m the joystick was terrbile. It would 'rattle' if I flicked my finger over it. Poor build quality IMO but maybe they were designed like that?
