Guest stargate Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Make your smartdevice (smartphone or pocket pc) tell you what's the time. You can program the smartdevice to automatically speak to you the current time every 1, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Also, you can use Star Time to be notified every full hour. http://www.fightersoft.ro/startime/index.htm For some time now, this was nagging me. Usually I listen to mp3s on my phone and I keep it in my coat's pocket. To get the current time, I have to take the phone out of my pocket, press the disconnect key and get to the home screen to see the time. I wrote this program so that the phone would actually speak to me when I want to know what time it is. I am still searching for a way to asssign the headset button to run my application. I await your feedback and perhaps even themes (voice files).
Guest stargate Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Star Time 1.10: - extended the vocabulary to include normal minute pronunciation (example - 25 is now "spoken" as twentyfive instead of two five) - when setting to full hour in the combobox, the message Activated is displayed - now the wave files included in the sounds folder are renamed as *.wav_ so that they will not be included in Windows Media Player's library serach for multimedia files http://www.fightersoft.ro/startime/index.htm
