Dear VITOkonstantin

I have just tried the SmartMap for PPC on my Windows 5. Mobile phone and it will install but not run.

Errors with:-

------------------------------------------

Can't find "SmartMap" (or one of its components). Make sure the path and

filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.

------------------------------------------

What did you do to get it to work?

I tried installing Active Trace and that seems to run OK. Although it is only in test mode and it does not seem to pickup the GPS location correctly!

Any Help would be appreciated.

There is a separate version of SmartMap for WM Smartphones.

You can find more help if you still have problems after installing the right version of SmartMap from http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/smar...smartphone.html by posting your problem at http://vitotechnology.com/en/forum

I'd also advise you reading manuals for both of the products:

- http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/manual.php?id=666 for VITO SmartMap for smartphones

- http://www.vitotechnology.com/manual/ActiveTrace/index.html for VITO ActiveTrace

Actually SmartMap for smartphones hasn't been modified yet for WM 5.0

So if it gets buggy while trial, it's no surprise.

After Hard rebooting Phone it had installed.

However, as you say it is very buggy. Tried to load UK map and it hung. Had to hard reset again!!

Not usable at all.

I agree, it's a weird thing of me to do.

BTW just tried SmartMap again on a WM 5.0 smartphone (Qtek 8300) and it worked ok. I also had a small trouble with installation as it seemed to hang on 100% but after canceling it worked fine. At least it loaded maps from my documents folder on the storage card. I suppose it should work fine with GPS connection, I didn't try this.

I guess it malfunctions with certain devices.
