Keypad illuminations

Does anyone know of a registry hack / application that will automatically switch on the keyboard illumination when it is opened?

If it's dark, I'm having to press a random button and then backspace up once I can see what I'm doing.

it's hard enough texting while driving at night without having to delete a random character. :D :)

The only way of doing it is seeing if theres anything in software that tells the screen to reorientate when the keypad is slid out. Personally i would love for the phone to come out of standby when its slid open (as if the power button were tapped).

now thats an idea, i mean, its not like you slid the keyb out to not use the phone hey, im gonna go looking, that would be fab, turns on when you slid it out, what an idea, so simple
