Guest chs_arg Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 To Orange customers: How many upgrades do you have? Is it true that you can only upgrade once a year? I mean when you upgrade you have to wait one year to do another upgrade?
Guest bleep Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 1 upgrade evey 12 months unfortunatly
Guest JamieDow Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 You don't have to, I upgrade about every 9 months but they will charge you for it unless you pay obscene amounts of money each month (I'm guilty of that)
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 You are upgrading and renewing your contract, so it's typically every 12 months. (or 18 months if you are on an 18month contract). To upgrade before then will cost you.
Guest spacerace Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Orange Premier allows 9 month upgrades. Otherwise you can get an upgrade at the end of every contract period (12/18/24 months) as part of renewing your contract for another 12/18/24 months. Depending on the phone you choose v. your monthly bill you may get charged an upgrade fee. You can upgrade at pretty much any time (at least on Orange), but you will pay proportionally more if you are not at the end of a contract. e.g. I am 6 months through my 1 year Orange Premier contract, and I "upgraded" to a Motorola V3i. I had to pay £40 since I was not at the end of my contract. This is less than if I had bought the phone Sim Free but more than if I had waited a few more months at which point I would have got it for free....
