how to configure GPS setting on SPVM5000

I've purchased a tom tom 5 software and installed it on my

SPV M5000. I paired the GPS receiver and tested it outside the for

signals. I've tried every options available to configure the GPS. But it

will alwasy comes up as "no GPS device". I have a 16 GPS channel receiver that worked perfectly well with my tomtom3 on my old SPV M2000. Please help!!!!.

Will I need a new GPS receiver or a new GPS driver for my SPVM5000?
