Active Sync Installation Error

Whenever I try to install Activesync from the Cd accompanying my smartphoneon my Windows XP I get a setup error:"Setup could not copy the file G:\ms\actsync\main\core\inf\WCEUSBSH.cat'error

I tried downloading and Installing the latest ActiveSync from the Microsoft Website I get a similar error.

From the error i feel that there is error in cpying the USB file

Install the 4.1 Active Sync application - it works perfectly with XP
